Techub News reports that, according to financefeeds, the Cambodian Senate unanimously passed a new legislation with 58 votes to target scam zones, focusing on cracking down on cross-border scams involving cryptocurrencies. The new law stipulates that individuals involved in organized scams will face 2 to 5 years of imprisonment and a fine of up to $125k; if the case involves a gang or multiple victims, the penalties can be doubled. The bill will take effect once it is approved by the King.
