Zhu Xiaohu fires again: All AI applications are just trap shells claiming there are barriers is to fool people!

Abstract generation in progress

On March 31, during the 2025 Zhongguancun Forum annual meeting, Zhu Xiaohu, managing partner of Jindongjiang Venture Capital, stated that all AI applications are trap applications. The key is how to establish long-term barriers and deeply integrate workflow/editing tools; proprietary hardware/IP and data. It requires manual delivery of hard and tedious work. The important aspect of AIGC applications is not the generation capability, but the editing capability and the ability to deliver results.

He emphasized that "AI applications have no barriers; claiming there are barriers is misleading. Barriers should be established in non-AI capabilities."

Zhu Xiaohu stated that concepts like the metaverse will soon be falsified, but after DeepSeek emerged, the revenue of software companies has experienced explosive growth, and the spring for Chinese software companies may be coming.

Zhu Xiaohu believes that in the past five to six years, a similar journey has been experienced. Concepts like the metaverse, SaaS (Software as a Service), and large models have successively become hotspots, but quickly cooled down in a short period. "At first, the hype was very high, but it was quickly debunked. Today, no one is looking at the metaverse, and no one is looking at SaaS anymore."

"However, after DeepSeek was released this year, we similarly felt the possibility of spring." Zhu Xiaohu stated that in March of this year, he observed that some SaaS companies had a year-on-year revenue growth of over 3 times. Companies that actively embrace AI and DeepSeek, if they can maintain such growth rates, are expected to welcome a true spring. "Software companies that raised a lot of money at their peak and burned a lot of money may not see spring. All software companies that strictly adhere to business discipline, I believe, may have seen the dawn of an end."

Known as Zhu Xiaohu, who has a "hot search physique," has once again been thrust into the spotlight due to an interview.

When asked "highly consensus, but without a commercialization path, last year was the large model, what is typical this year?" Zhu Xiaohu's answer is: embodied intelligence.

In his view, embodied intelligence is particularly popular right now, but he feels that the commercial path is still unclear, especially for humanoid robots.

This statement was publicly refuted by Zhang Ying, the founder of Jingwei Ventures, who called out in his social media, "Boss Zhu, don't make a scene," and stated that "over time, the humanoid robot sector will definitely produce big companies."

After that, Zhao Tongyang, founder and chairman of Zhongqing Robotics, representing entrepreneurs, publicly expressed his views and "retorted" to Zhu Xiaohu. He stated, "I think he is more suitable for fast-food projects that show results in a year after investment; AI and humanoid robots are not projects that can quickly make him money. Humanoid robots will be ubiquitous within five years, marking the most exciting industrial revolution since humanity learned to make tools." On March 29, Xinghai Map, a previously invested company by Jinsha River Venture Capital, also released a clarification announcement regarding its cooperation with the institution, calling for a long-term commitment and strong support from all sectors of society for the development of the embodied intelligence sector.

DeepSeek in the crypto world is fake. The DeepSeek team has no intention of going public with stocks, let alone virtual coins.
