US President Donald Trump continues to make new moves. At this point, yesterday Trump signed an executive order to create a new state asset fund.

Although the details of the fund are not yet clear, Trump said, "It's time for this country to have a sovereign wealth fund. I think we will soon create one of the world's largest funds."

With this move, Trump has fueled the debate over whether Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) and similar cryptocurrencies will be included in the state asset fund, according to US Senator Cynthia Lummis, a close associate of Trump.

Lummis, who hinted at the issuance of a decree regarding cryptocurrencies before Trump's official announcement, this time made a similar sharing about the asset fund.

While it's unclear whether Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies will be included, Lummis implied that the US asset fund could be used to buy BTC.

In her post from the Lummis X account, she used the Bitcoin symbol instead of the letter B and used the expression "This is a great deal".

Lummis' sharing was interpreted as Bitcoin being included in the asset fund.

At this point, some experts pointed out that the US holds about 200,000 Bitcoins and suggested that the Trump administration could aim to create one of the world's largest sovereign wealth funds by using these Bitcoins.

This is a ₿ig deal.
