Analyst: US inflation may rise rapidly after Trump takes office, and the Fed will change its rate cut plan

Odaily Planet Daily News Edmund de Rothschild analysts said in a report that under Trump's leadership, US inflation may rise rapidly. The threat of trade tariff risks and the expulsion of undocumented immigrant workers may push up the US inflation rate. These factors may pose a challenge to the Fed's efforts to contain inflation. They said, "As the impact of Trump's plans on inflation becomes increasingly clear, the Fed may partially abandon its latest projection of a 100 basis point rate cut." (FX168)
