Sources: US-Iran negotiations are "highly likely" to achieve a breakthrough

ME News, April 24 (UTC+8): government sources have confirmed that the talks between the U.S. and Iran in Islamabad are “very likely to achieve a breakthrough.” A delegation led by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian is expected to arrive in Pakistan’s capital tonight. Earlier today, Iran’s foreign minister held a phone call with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister; both sides confirmed the news. The Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the two sides exchanged views on developments in the region, ceasefire efforts, and ongoing diplomatic efforts amid contacts between the U.S. and Iran.
