Recently, I came across a bunch of screenshots of APY from yield aggregators. The numbers look pretty good, and when I looked into the contracts, the permissions also looked quite interesting: the admin keys are like universal remote controls, able to change strategies at will, move funds around as desired... Basically, you're earning based on whether the counterparty is willing to be the person. What's even funnier is that some of the yield sources are mixed with testnet points expectations, with everyone calculating compound interest while guessing whether the mainnet will issue tokens, making it feel like playing the lottery where you have to stake your principal first. Anyway, whenever I see "no lock-up + anonymous team + super high APY," I get allergic reactions, so I’m just observing for now and not getting caught up.
