Recently, Walrus's 30-day leaderboard event has sparked quite a bit of discussion in the community. The scale of this event is not small—top 100 creators will share 105,000 WAL, and ordinary participants also have 45,000 WAL to share. It seems that the entry barrier is low—just follow social media accounts and complete a few trading tasks to join. This relatively gentle approach has attracted over 16,000 users to participate.

From the project's perspective, this is not just a token distribution. Walrus is building its user base while also promoting awareness of its storage + DeFi model. By bringing users in through the event, they gradually understand the project's core mechanisms during participation, which is akin to paving the way for future ecosystem applications. These active participants are likely to become the backbone of the project's ecosystem expansion.

16,000 participants. The number sounds good, but the real earners are still the top 100 creators. The low threshold seems attractive, but upon closer inspection, it's still about stacking trading volume to rank, and ordinary people are being cut again. Storage + DeFi gameplay, to put it simply, is still trying to build a moat. Whether it can truly be implemented remains to be seen. This round of activity is just a different way of airdropping. The user base has been established, but whether the subsequent ecosystem can keep up is the real point of interest.

16,000 people went to stake out... Basically, it's a sheep-shearing festival. Who can truly understand that storage + DeFi is a problem after this wave? --- The low threshold has a double-edged sword effect; it's easy to get in but also easy to disperse, so it may not retain many genuine users. --- 105,000 WAL tokens are allocated to the top 100... The logic of splitting actually hints that it will become more competitive later. --- Impermanent loss is back again. Participating in such activities is like gambling; everyone hopes to become a "core force," but a single pullback could wipe out all gains. --- Still don't understand why it has to be so complicated. Isn't directly issuing tokens more straightforward?

16,000 users, how much "wool" is that... queuing up for a haircut --- Low threshold means it's easy to flood, not sure how many real users this wave can accumulate --- Storage + DeFi has been explained for over a year, but how many people are actually using it? --- The top 100 wallets with 105k WAL sound appealing, but after dividing, there aren't many coins left --- Another "backbone force," sounds like a story, can it be realized? --- 16,000 users rushing together, this data isn't anything new in the track --- It's just using coins to buy recognition, that's how other projects play too --- Low participation threshold = low quality, I choose to wait and see --- Does this activity really help with ecosystem expansion? I remain skeptical --- Completing a few tasks can share 45k, that’s a lot of meat, go go go

Wow, 16,000 people participated. How much does that cost... It seems like just another套路铺垫 It looks like the threshold isn't high, but how many can stick with it for 30 days? Storage + DeFi? I've heard this pitch too many times. It's no wonder it hasn't gained traction. Mostly, they probably just want these people's wallet addresses, to be honest. But on the other hand, at least it gives a reason to participate, which is better than some projects.

16,000 people rushed in just for that WAL, this wave of cutting leeks really is a masterstroke --- Storage + DeFi? Sounds good, but probably only a few can actually use it --- Low threshold is a trap, we still don’t know what’s hidden behind simple tasks --- Core force? Ha, how long will they stay active before it counts --- With this attitude, the ecological applications will be out only in the Year of the Monkey or later --- 105,000 WAL divided among 100 people, no matter how you count, it’s not worth it --- Another warm-up before cutting leeks again, trust me, I’ve seen too many of these routines --- Do participants really understand that storage model, or are they just in it for the airdrop
