Meta bids $100 million to poach OpenAI researchers as the battle for AI talent heats up.

[BitPush] OpenAI CEO Sam Altman ( Sam Altman ) stated that Meta is attempting to attract OpenAI’s AI researchers by offering signing bonuses of up to $100 million and generous annual salaries, but currently no employees have accepted these terms. Nevertheless, Meta is still actively recruiting, including outreach to researchers personally by CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

At the same time, the competition for talent in the artificial intelligence industry is becoming increasingly fierce, with salary levels continuously rising. Anthropic and Google’s DeepMind are leading in talent retention rates, while OpenAI is also striving to keep its top talent.
