WeBank: serving over 420 million individual customers, with an annual IT operation and maintenance cost of only 2 yuan per account

Jin Shi data news on March 13th, WeBank recently held its first “Media Open Day” event after ten years of establishment. Over the past ten years, WeBank has served more than 420 million individual customers, and the number of enterprise customers who have applied for loans has exceeded 5.8 million. The annual IT operation and maintenance cost per single account is only 2 yuan, and the peak daily transaction volume has exceeded 1.4 billion transactions. Currently, WeBank is actively building an AI native paradigm and entering the AI native stage. It is reported that the bank has built AI systematized capabilities at three levels: AI infrastructure, AI applications, and AI governance. At the infrastructure level, WeBank has independently developed a Computing Power AI engineering platform that supports private deployment of mainstream Open Source large models such as DeepSeek, with the ability to adjust, plug and play, measure effectiveness, and manage model assets.
