The Ariane 6 rocket successfully completed its inaugural commercial launch.
At 16:00 local time on March 6, the European Ariane 6 heavy-duty launch vehicle lifted off from the Guiana Space Center in French Guiana, sending a French military satellite into orbit about 800 kilometers above the Earth’s surface. This is also the first commercial launch mission performed by this rocket.
