The Baltic Sea submarine communication cable "suspected of being deliberately damaged" has been investigated by Germany and Finland.

On November 19, Jinshi Data reported that the governments of Germany and Finland issued a joint statement on November 18, expressing serious concerns about the interruption of the submarine communication cable in the Baltic Sea between the two countries on that day and stating that a thorough investigation has been launched. Although the statement did not specify the cause of the cable interruption, it pointed out that there is suspicion of sabotage. The submarine communication cable connecting Helsinki, Finland and Rostock, Germany is 1173 kilometers long, and it is estimated that the repair work will take two weeks. On the same day, another submarine communication cable connecting Lithuania and Sweden in the Baltic Sea was also interrupted for unknown reasons.
