PANews, December 3—According to Securities Times, the United Nations Development Programme’s Regional Bureau for Asia and the Pacific released a report on artificial intelligence on December 2. The report states that due to the vastly different development foundations of various countries, a lack of effective management of artificial intelligence could widen the gap between nations and exacerbate inequality. The report points out that while artificial intelligence opens up new paths for development, the starting conditions among countries vary greatly, resulting in very different positions when it comes to seizing opportunities and managing risks. Without strong policy intervention, these disparities may continue to grow, potentially reversing the long-term trend of narrowing development gaps.
