Golden Finance reports that OpenClaw founder Peter Steinberger stated on the X platform that the next version of OpenClaw will also adopt the MCP (Model Context Protocol), allowing users to use it as a substitute for Anthropic’s message channel model context protocol, thereby connecting to a wider range of message providers. Peter Steinberger also admitted that this adjustment is “a bit awkward,” but will significantly expand OpenClaw’s messaging access capabilities and ecosystem compatibility. In response to community concerns that OpenClaw is “biased” towards OpenAI, Peter Steinberger also responded by stating that all software supported by OpenClaw, from Microsoft’s Teams, Matrix to WhatsApp.
