On November 13, the Kremlin said on Wednesday that the opening of a new missile base in Poland by the United States indicates that the US military infrastructure is advancing towards our borders as part of the US military containment of Russia. The American base in Rezikovo is called Aegis Ashore and is part of the NATO missile defense system. NATO says the defense system is capable of intercepting short- to medium-range ballistic missiles. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that back in the 2000s, George W. When George W. Bush was president of the United States, President Putin opposed the plan for the base. The United States was simply lying when it said that its purpose was to intercept potential Iranian missiles.
