U.S. Soldier Charged Over $409,881 Polymarket Trades Tied to Maduro Operation
Federal prosecutors charged U.S. Army soldier Gannon Ken Van Dyke after alleging he turned $33,034 in Polymarket bets into $409,881 by using classified information about the operation that removed Nicolás Maduro. The case includes five federal charges, and the CFTC filed a parallel complaint the same day. Court documents say Van Dyke placed 13 Venezuela-related bets between December 26, 2025 and January 2, 2026 and later asked Polymarket to delete his account.
