Demand remains subdued, and rapeseed oil inventory continues to rise.

Last week, the main domestic oil refineries’ imports of pressed rapeseed oil production increased slightly, while the current soybean-rapeseed price spread remains relatively high, so end users are more inclined to purchase soybean oil. Rapeseed oil demand has stayed weak, resulting in inventories continuing to rise. Data monitored by the China Grain and Oil Business Network show that as of the end of Week 16 in 2026, the domestic inventory of imported pressed rapeseed oil was 36.47 ten-thousand tons, up by 1.77 ten-thousand tons from 34.70 ten-thousand tons last week, a week-on-week increase of 5.10%. The contracted volume was 21.50 ten-thousand tons, down by 0.98 ten-thousand tons from 22.48 ten-thousand tons last week, a week-on-week decrease of 4.37%. (China Grain and Oil Business Network)
