UTXO Commentary Frames Bitcoin Quantum Threat as Governance Challenge
Guillaume Girard of UTXO Management argued that Bitcoin’s quantum threat is mainly a governance issue because about 1.7 million BTC sit in legacy P2PK addresses while the network still needs consensus on defensive changes. Girard said developers already have proposals under review, but broad agreement remains the harder challenge.
