On the 21st local time, the Iranian Army Public Relations Office issued a statement saying that the Iranian oil tanker “Siricheng” entered Iranian territorial waters safely on the night of the 20th after crossing the Arabian Sea with support from the Iranian Navy. The statement said that although the U.S. military had issued multiple warnings and threats, the oil tanker still safely completed its voyage with escort and support from the Iranian Navy, and after entering Iranian territorial waters, it docked at a port in southern Iran, where it has been moored for several hours so far. Iran announced on the 17th that it would open the Strait of Hormuz to commercial ships, and then on the 18th, it announced that given that the U.S. had not lifted its maritime blockade against Iran, Iran would resume control of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. On the 19th, U.S. forces forcibly intercepted and took control of an Iranian cargo ship in waters in the Gulf of Oman. The Iranian military accused the U.S. of openly violating the ceasefire agreement. (CCTV News)
