CryptoWorld News reports that the German government issued a statement on the 23rd, emphasizing that the Strait of Hormuz must remain open permanently and reliably, with no restrictions or tolls imposed. Currently, both the United States and Iran have announced blockades of the Strait of Hormuz. The German government stated that the declaration is mainly a message to Iran, saying that if the US and Iran can reach a comprehensive agreement, Germany is willing to work closely with partners to gradually relax existing restrictive measures against Iran. If Iran continues to blockade the Strait of Hormuz, Germany is prepared to consider implementing further sanctions against it. The statement also pointed out that once hostilities between the US and Iran are permanently ended, the German government, together with its partners, will contribute to the freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz in accordance with international law and domestic procedures. At the same time, the German government will continue to work through diplomatic channels to strive for a permanent end to the conflict in southern Lebanon.
