AMGEN ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT OF DAVID M. REESE, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

Amgen has announced the retirement of David M. Reese, M.D., Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, effective June 30, 2026. Reese, who joined Amgen in 2005, significantly advanced the company’s R&D, leading to numerous drug approvals and fostering the adoption of technology and AI. To further integrate biology and technology, Amgen is reorganizing its leadership, with James Bradner, M.D. becoming EVP, Research and Development, AI and Data, and Sean Bruich as SVP, Chief Technology Officer, effective June 1, 2026.
