I'm looking for a simple microwave, but when I check the ranking of single-function microwaves, there are really many options and I get confused. Sharp, Toshiba, and Panasonic are the standard brands, and the flat interior type that’s easy to clean definitely scores high points.
Personally, what caught my attention is that even among single-function models, the presence or absence of sensors significantly affects uneven heating. If you use automatic modes, it's better to choose models with infrared sensors or absolute humidity sensors, and if you prefer manually setting the time simply, even a cheaper model is sufficient.
For single people living alone, a compact size of 17-18L is enough, but for families, over 20L makes things easier. Since many models have a 1000W inverter system, the heating performance doesn’t seem to differ much. The top-ranked models in the single-function microwave ranking seem to differ mainly in how the door opens and how user-friendly the control panel is. Recently, both vertical and horizontal opening types are available, so depending on your kitchen space, choosing one might be a good idea.
