The ABA warned that allowing the rapid expansion of yield-bearing payment stablecoins could lead to the loss of community bank deposits, increased financing costs, and tighter local credit lending. It pointed out that the CEA's excessive focus on the impact of "banning yields" actually diminishes the systemic risks associated with the scaling of yield-bearing stablecoins.
