According to a report by CNN, the Trump administration is preparing for a possible face-to-face meeting between U.S. and Iranian officials. The report, citing U.S. officials, said that both sides are currently working toward a long-term agreement to end the conflict between the United States and Iran. Given that Iran and the U.S. have just announced a two-week ceasefire agreement, the likelihood of holding the meeting is increasingly growing. U.S. officials also said the talks are very likely to be held in Islamabad, Pakistan’s capital, with Pakistani mediators present. U.S. Vice President Vance, President Trump’s envoy Wittekov, and Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law, are expected to attend the talks. ( Xinhua News Agency )
