Sable Producing Oil From Offshore Platform, Transporting for Sale to Chevron
Sable Offshore Corp. has announced it has begun selling oil after restarting production at Platform Harmony in Santa Barbara County, transporting oil through its pipelines. Chevron will purchase 20,000 barrels of oil per day from Sable, with intentions to increase this quantity. Sable plans to restart production at additional platforms, Heritage and Hondo, by the end of the year, despite ongoing legal and regulatory challenges since acquiring ExxonMobil’s Santa Ynez Unit assets in 2024.
