Yesterday, the trading volume of gold, silver, and copper on the CME increased, with open interest in silver contracts rising, indicating a relatively more active silver market. Gold futures trading volume was 197,318 contracts, an increase of 15,937 contracts from the previous trading day. Open interest was 363,095 contracts, a decrease of 4,215 contracts from the previous day. Silver futures trading volume was 53,017 contracts, an increase of 13,969 contracts from the previous day. Open interest was 115,243 contracts, an increase of 1,316 contracts from the previous day. Copper futures trading volume was 79,622 contracts, an increase of 27,541 contracts from the previous day. Open interest was 220,813 contracts, a decrease of 510 contracts from the previous day.
