Rising airline fuel prices prompt Delta Air Lines to raise checked baggage fees by up to $50

On April 7th local time, Delta Air Lines issued a statement saying it will raise checked baggage fees. The airline stated that the fee for the first and second checked bags will increase by $10, while on domestic and some international flights, the fee for checking a third bag will increase by $50. After the price increase, the total cost for the first bag will be $45, the second $55, and the third $200. Additionally, Delta Air Lines announced that SkyMiles Diamond members and first-class passengers will continue to enjoy some free baggage allowances. (Jiemian News)
