Active Bitcoin Wallets Drop to 8-Year Low

Latest data from CryptoQuant shows that the number of active Bitcoin addresses has fallen to the lowest level in eight years.
This decline reflects reduced speculative activity on the Bitcoin network, as the frequency of daily transactions has decreased compared to previous periods.
CryptoQuant assesses that this condition may indicate a market phase shift, from short-term trading activity to a long-term accumulation period by investors.
In previous cycles, a decrease in active addresses often occurred when the market entered a consolidation phase, where market participants tend to hold assets rather than engage in active trading.
This phenomenon may also reflect a decline in short-term retail investor participation, while long-term investors begin to strengthen their positions.
Although on-chain activity has decreased, this condition does not necessarily indicate a fundamental weakness, but can be part of the dynamics of the crypto market cycle.
This development shows that Bitcoin movement is influenced not only by price but also by changes in user behavior within the network.
