Lebanese Displaced Persons' Survival at Risk

As Israel expands its ground operations in southern Lebanon, more and more displaced people worry that their homes will be even more severely damaged. Food shortages and the struggle to make ends meet also present “major difficulties” for them. According to information from the Lebanese government, since the latest round of fighting broke out between Israel and Hezbollah, the number of displaced people registered in Lebanon has exceeded 1 million. A UN human rights body says that Israel’s airstrikes against residential buildings in Lebanon, displaced people, and medical personnel may constitute war crimes. (CCTV International News)
