On April 8 local time, Ali Nikzad, deputy speaker of Iran’s Islamic Parliament, said that if the U.S. does not accept Iran’s proposed 10 ceasefire terms, Iran’s supreme leader will not approve signing the ceasefire agreement. Nikzad also said that the Strait of Hormuz would not be restored to its previous state.

That day, an insider said that Iran’s proposed “ten-point plan” has already been accepted as the basis for the ceasefire agreement. The insider emphasized that Iran had previously rejected the “15-point plan” put forward by the U.S., and made it clear that any ceasefire must be premised on the U.S. accepting Iran’s proposed plan, and that U.S. President Donald Trump must formally agree to it.

Earlier, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz confirmed that Iran, the United States, and their respective allies agreed to immediately cease hostilities at all locations, including Lebanon and other regions, effective starting today. He invited representatives from both the U.S. and Iran to hold further talks in Islamabad on the 10th in order to reach a final agreement to resolve all disputes.
