Abstract generation in progress

Constellation Energy Corporation has agreed to sell a collection of natural gas power plants to LS Power for $5 billion. This transaction is a key step to meet antitrust requirements after Constellation’s acquisition of Calpine, which created the world’s largest private power producer. The deal involves approximately 4.4 gigawatts of capacity, mainly from gas-fired units in Delaware and Pennsylvania, and aims to preserve competition in the PJM Interconnection market.
