Institutions: During the Spring Break and Qingming Festival holidays, civil aviation passenger transport volume reached 12.09 million passengers, a year-on-year increase of 5.3%.
According to DAST traffic data express, during the 2026 Spring Festival holiday & Qingming Festival (6 days), civil aviation operated 88.7k passenger flights, averaging 12,675 flights per day. Compared with 2025, this is up 1.4%, and compared with 2019, up 5.3%. By time period, during the first three days of Qingming, the year-over-year increase was 1.9%, and the increase versus 2019 was 6.7%; during the Qingming period, the year-over-year increase was 0.9%, and the increase versus 2019 was 3.9%. The growth during the Qingming holiday is lower than the growth during the Spring Festival holiday.
During the 2026 Spring Festival holiday & Qingming period, civil aviation passenger transportation volume reached 12.09 million passenger trips (including only data carried by domestic airlines). This is up 5.3% year over year. From the day-by-day trend, travel volume in the first three days is clearly higher than the historical same period; the increase on the first day reached 13.7%. On Qingming Day, travel decreased slightly year over year, but when combined with the Spring Festival effect, overall travel during the holiday is better than the same period.
