Iran’s Supreme National Security Council confirms that it will hold talks with the U.S. for a period of two weeks.

People’s Finance and News, April 8 — On April 8 local time, the Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran said in a statement that Iran will hold a two-week round of political talks with the United States in Islamabad, Pakistan’s capital, “to confirm the achievements made on the battlefield on the ground.” On the same day, Iran’s side said that Trump stated, “We have received Iran’s 10-point proposal and believe the plan is a feasible basis for negotiations.” Trump said, “Nearly all of the past contentious issues between the U.S. and Iran have been agreed upon, but these two weeks will allow the agreement to be finalized and take effect.” (CCTV News)
