Tom’s of Maine has reached a US$2.9 million settlement in a class-action lawsuit alleging deceptive practices related to its toothpaste products. The lawsuit, filed against its parent company Colgate-Palmolive, follows a 2024 FDA inspection that raised concerns about manufacturing standards, although no safety risk was found. Consumers who purchased Tom’s toothpaste between November 21, 2020, and March 6, 2026, may be eligible for compensation, with a claim deadline of July 6, 2026.
