National Grain and Oil Information Center: It is expected that the soybean crushing volume of major oil mills nationwide in April will be around 7 million tons.

Based on monitoring of the crushing situation at oil mills, in March the national major oil mills’ soybean crushing volume was around 8.3 million tons, up 3.6 million tons month over month, up 2.1 million tons year over year, and up 1.6 million tons versus the average for the same period over the past three years. In April, domestic oil mills will undergo scheduled shutdowns and concentrated maintenance, causing the operating rate to decline. It is expected that the total soybean crushing volume for the whole month will be around 7.0 million tons, down about 1.3 million tons month over month, up about 1.6 million tons year over year, and up about 0.3 million tons versus the average for the same period over the past three years.
