Chinese Embassy in Saudi Arabia: Passport processing times may be delayed

Abstract generation in progress

On March 12, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Saudi Arabia reminded that passport services may experience delays in processing times. At present, the regional security situation is complex and constantly changing, and international logistics have been significantly affected. To further ensure that consular document services for Chinese citizens in Saudi Arabia are well handled, our mission would like to offer the following warm reminder: As all passports accepted by our mission are produced in China and then mailed back, the processing time for passport services may currently involve uncertain factors. If your passport is still within its validity period and you are planning to return to China in the near future, you may contact our mission to cancel your order and return to China using your original passport to renew the document. If your passport has already expired or has been lost, it is recommended that you apply for a travel document as soon as possible. Our mission’s other consular services, such as travel documents, notarization, and so on, are not affected. We advise you to take good care of your personal documents and promptly verify the validity periods of your passport and visa. If you need to apply for documents, please be sure to set aside a reasonable amount of time in advance to avoid affecting your work and daily life. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. (Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Saudi Arabia)
