Yushu Technology's mobile robot patent granted

Tianyancha’s patent information shows that, recently, a patent for “a mobile robot” applied for by Unitree Technology Co., Ltd. has been granted authorization. The inventors are Wang Xingxing and Wang Kai. The abstract shows that the mobile robot provided by this invention includes a chassis and a wide-angle LiDAR. The chassis shape is a vertically placed semi-ellipsoidal spherical body that is thinner at the top and thicker at the bottom. The wide-angle LiDAR is disposed above the chassis. The projection of the mounting position of the wide-angle LiDAR is located near the geometric center of the chassis.

This invention sets the chassis shape to a vertically placed semi-ellipsoidal spherical body that is thinner at the top and thicker at the bottom, and positions the wide-angle LiDAR directly above the chassis. With this combination arrangement, only one wide-angle LiDAR is needed to achieve perception of the surrounding environment around the chassis over a relatively large range. The production and manufacturing cost is low, it does not involve data processing issues arising from multiple sensing devices, and it reduces the difficulty of data processing.
