Israel Defense Forces Chief of General Staff Zamir said in a statement on the evening of the 5th that the Israeli military’s operations against Iran have been ongoing for six days, and that the operation is entering its “next phase,” with further efforts to intensify strikes against the Iranian regime’s foundations and its military capabilities. Zamir said that the Israeli Air Force dropped more than 6,000 munitions in its strikes on Iran, destroying about 80% of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps air defense systems and more than 60% of its ballistic missile launch installations. On the 5th, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement saying that on that day it launched the “Khoramshahr-4” super-heavy missile carrying a 1-ton warhead, striking the center of Tel Aviv, Ben-Gurion Airport, and the Israeli Air Force base at the airport.
