The three departments issue the "Standard-led Textile Industry Optimization and Upgrading Action Plan (2026–2028)"
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and the State Administration for Market Regulation have jointly issued the “Action Plan for Optimizing and Upgrading the Textile Industry Led by Standards (2026—2028).” Among other things, the plan proposes that by 2028, more than 300 standards will be developed or revised in areas such as multi-scenario adaptation, digital transformation, green and low-carbon development, and health and safety, so that the textile standards supply capacity is comprehensively improved; accelerate the evaluation of the advancedness, applicability, and diffusibility of industry science and technology achievements, promote the conversion of advanced and applicable science and technology achievements into standards, and strengthen the linkage between standard development/revision and technological innovation; carry out monitoring and analysis of the implementation of key standards, so that the quality of standards supply improves steadily and the implementation of standards becomes more effective; develop or revise more than 10 international standards, keep the international standards conversion rate continuously above 85%, and steadily improve the consistency between domestic and international standards.
