Just looked at some numbers that really put things in perspective. Elon Musk's sitting on a net worth around $676 billion as of late 2025, which honestly makes him untouchable compared to basically everyone else. Larry Page is the next closest with $254 billion, but that's still less than half of what Musk has accumulated.
So here's where it gets wild. If you calculate how much does elon musk make an hour based on his wealth growth through 2025, you're looking at roughly $698 million per day. Different sources approach this differently though. CoinCodex came up with $90 million daily using a 10-year average, but when you actually look at his 2025 growth specifically - he went from $421.2 billion at the end of 2024 to around $676 billion now - the math works out to that much higher daily figure.
Breaking that down further, $698 million divided by 24 hours gives you approximately $29 million per hour. And if we're talking about what he earns while you're sleeping, the CDC recommends seven hours of sleep for adults, right? So multiply $29 million by seven and you get just over $203 million. That's literally what accumulates while most people are unconscious.
What makes this even crazier is the Tesla pay package that shareholders recently approved. We're talking about a potential $1 trillion compensation structure if Musk hits certain milestones - selling a million humanoid robots, getting 10 million Tesla self-driving subscriptions, pushing the company's valuation to $8.5 trillion. If he pulls that off, he could become the world's first trillionaire. He basically said this represents a whole new chapter for Tesla, not just the next phase.
The scale of these numbers is genuinely hard to wrap your head around. Most people work their entire lives and never accumulate what Musk generates in a single hour. The gap between how much does elon musk make an hour and what an average person earns annually is almost incomprehensible at this point.
