U.S. Navy's USS Ford aircraft carrier catches fire

The U.S. Navy’s Central Command said in a statement on social media on the 12th that the “Ford” aircraft carrier caught fire, and the cause of the blaze has nothing to do with combat operations. The statement said the fire broke out in the ship’s laundry facility and has been brought under control. The carrier’s propulsion system has not been damaged and is still able to operate fully. The two injured service members are currently receiving treatment. The “Ford” aircraft carrier is currently taking part in military operations against Iran in the Red Sea. (Xinhua)
