《Nikkei Asia》, citing people familiar with the matter, says the foldable iPhone ran into setbacks during the engineering testing phase, which could delay production and the shipping schedule. The news dragged on Apple’s stock price, which fell as much as 4% today.

The report says that because the engineering issues are more complex, it will take longer than expected to resolve them, and initial sales may be delayed by several months.
