On April 7, 2026, Abyss Intelligence announced that it has recently completed a new round of financing totaling several hundred million yuan. This round of financing was led jointly by Shenzhen Innovation Investment Group (Shenzhen Venture Capital) and Inovance Industrial Investment, with long-term investors including Daohe, Guotai Junan Innovation Investment, and institutions such as Wuyuefeng Sci-Tech Innovation participating in the follow-on investment.

Earlier, in early 2026, the company had already completed a round of financing led by China Telecom. Abyss Intelligence said that as of the first quarter of 2026, the company’s cumulative financing scale is expected to exceed 1 billion yuan.

Over the past year, Abyss Intelligence has completed three rounds of financing, with investors including Jing Guo Rui, Moutai Fund, Loongson Venture Capital, and CICC Porsche, among others.

At present, Abyss Intelligence mainly focuses on on-device large models. Compared with cloud-based models, on-device models can run on local devices, reducing computing resource consumption and call costs to a certain extent, while also decreasing reliance on network connectivity. In 2024, Abyss Intelligence, together with the NLP Lab at Tsinghua University, released the MiniCPM series models and continued to iterate. The series has covered directions including text, multimodal, full-modal, and speech.

In early 2026, Abyss Intelligence iterated and released the MiniCPM-o 4.5 full-duplex full-modal model, with a parameter scale of about 9B. It supports multimodal input and output of speech, vision, and text, and has real-time interaction capabilities. Building on this, the company has further extended toward a “software-and-hardware integrated” direction. On the hardware side, Abyss Intelligence announced the launch of the Pinecone Pi (Pinea Pi) on-device AI development board, as well as hardware products such as the EdgeClaw Box, to support model execution and development, enabling local deployment and edge-cloud collaboration.
