IDF: Commander of Iran's Quds Force Killed

On April 7, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that on April 6, the Israeli Air Force conducted an attack on Tehran based on intelligence, resulting in the death of Asghar Bagheri, the commander of the Quds Force’s special operations unit (Unit 840). The statement noted that Bagheri was killed in the attack on April 5. He had served as the commander of the Quds Force’s special operations unit since 2019 and held several key positions within the unit, participating in attacks against Israelis and Americans globally.
