Floods have occurred in Dagestan, Russia, resulting in 3 deaths.

On April 5 local time, flooding continued to wreak havoc in the Republic of Dagestan, Russia, leaving 3 people dead. The flood caused the Zheykh Reservoir dam in the Derbent District to breach; more than 5,000 people have been evacuated, 2,000 homes have been inundated, and over 327k people are without power. A residential building in Makhachkala, the capital, collapsed after floodwaters surged in. At present, the Republic of Dagestan has announced an emergency state. (CCTV News)
