All meals and accommodation provided! Master Zhang Xue speaks out: I have borrowed money dozens of times because I firmly believe Chinese cars can win
Kuaishou Technology April 2 News: According to reports, recently, Zhang Jixing (Brother Ya), the master of Zhang Xueji Car’s founder Zhang Xue, revealed for the first time during an interview the support he has given Zhang Xue over the years.
In 2007, Zhang Jixing met 20-year-old Zhang Xue during a competition in Jiangsu. At the time, Zhang Xue was running into setbacks at various racing teams due to issues such as his age. Zhang Jixing took him as an apprentice, did not charge tuition, arranged for him to eat and live, and helped him rent a place to live.
Zhang Jixing has won the national off-road motorcycle championship a total of 14 times. He found that Zhang Xue’s racing talent was limited, advised him to shift toward building cars, and made it clear that building cars was the only path for Zhang Xue to become a world champion.
During the period when Zhang Xue started his business and ran into difficulties with R&D, and when funding was short, Zhang Jixing provided Zhang Xue with loans dozens of times in succession; some of the funds were borrowed from his family.
Zhang Xue’s wife previously posted related loan statement bills, which included two payments from Zhang Jixing.
Zhang Jixing also leveraged his own industry resources to help Zhang Xue enter a motorcycle manufacturing company to learn technical skills, providing support for Zhang Xue’s business startup and R&D.
On March 28, Zhang Xueji Car’s 820RR‑RS race bike won the WSBK championship. After winning, during a call between Zhang Xue and Zhang Jixing, both were overcome with emotion and cried on the call.
Track glory drove market attention, and Zhang Xueji Car saw a surge in orders, with delivery lead times for popular models significantly lengthening.
At present, Zhang Xueji Car is urgently expanding its production lines to ensure deliveries. Zhang Xue disclosed that its target sales for 2026 are 60k units, and it aims to push production value to 1.8 billion yuan.
