The A-shares are strengthening, with the ChiNext Index up over 1%! Micro-cap index up more than 2%, North China 50 up over 2%, nearly 4,300 stocks rising, computing power concept active, Sugon (Inspur) hits two consecutive limit-ups.
Feb 28 | Major A-share indexes climbed. The ChiNext Index rose more than 1%, the Shanghai Composite rose 0.22%, and the Shenzhen Component rose 0.71%. Sectors such as artificial meat, weight-loss drugs, brokerage firms, and state-owned enterprises led the gains, with nearly 4,300 stocks advancing across the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing markets.
The Tonghuashun (300033) micro-cap index rose more than 2%, and the BEIS 50 rose more than 2%.
A-share brokerage stocks strengthened at the open. Western Securities (002673) notched three straight daily limit-ups in four trading days. Huachuang Yuncheng, Cinda Securities, Yangtze Securities (000783), Southwest Securities (600369), Founder Securities (601901), and others also followed higher.
A-share market gaming stocks rose. Among them, Ciwén Media (002343) hit the daily limit; Qingyoubao (300052), Huayi Brothers (300027), and Xunyou Technology (300467) rose more than 5%; Tianzhou Culture (300148), Kainett Network (002517), Shifeng Culture (002862), Caesar Culture (002425), and others also followed higher. On the news front, the National Press and Publication Administration released on the 27th the February approval information for domestically produced online games, with a total of 111 games approved.
A-share computing power themes saw repeated resurgence. Inspur? (300027) notched two consecutive limit-ups, and Runjian Shares (002929), Ziguang Shares (000938), Qingyoubao, Hygon? (300027), and ZHONGBEI Communications (603220) rose more than 5%. Guotai Junan Securities (601878) believes that generative AI is expected to bring a leap in social productivity, marking the start of the “Fourth Industrial Revolution.” The foundation for industrial development is abundant, low-cost computing power supply. From this perspective, it is imperative for our country to aggressively develop domestic computing power.
The hydrogen energy sector was active early in the day. Compton (603798), Hongtao Co., Ltd. (002325), and Energen? (000635) hit the daily limit. Hanma Technology touched the daily limit. Several other stocks, including New Dynamics (310328), ZAITAI Shares (300435), Shenghui Technology, and Houpus (300471), also saw gains of more than 5% in multiple listings. On the news front, the China Hydrogen Energy Industry Alliance Research Institute statistics show that at the early-2024 local two sessions, among 31 provincial-level administrative regions, 22 included hydrogen energy in their government work reports, and the number of provinces mentioning hydrogen energy development has maintained an upward trend year by year.
Hong Kong tech stocks rose. The Hang Seng Tech Index widened its gain to more than 1%.
