UN agency report: Global decline in under-5 child mortality rate slows significantly

According to the latest report released by a United Nations agency on the 18th, an estimated 4.9 million children worldwide died before the age of 5 in 2024, including 2.3 million newborns. Since 2015, the pace of decline in the number of deaths among children under 5 has slowed significantly. (Xinhua)
