【Caixin】 Another Chinese fugitive’s large assets in London are set to be confiscated by the UK. The UK Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has recently obtained an order for an investigation into unidentified property and a provisional freezing order from the High Court of England and is seeking to confiscate 85 properties in London held by a Chinese national, valued at more than 81 million pounds sterling (approximately RMB 738 million).

The CPS has not disclosed the person’s name, saying that this “Mr. X” is suspected of using funds obtained illegally to buy properties in the UK. If he cannot, within 3 months, prove that the source of the funds used to purchase the properties is lawful, these properties will be confiscated.

According to Caixin, this “Mr. X” is Su Jiangbo, a man from Fujian who is currently wanted by Chinese police.
