BlockBeats message, April 7, according to TRM Labs, the Indonesian government has convicted three individuals for financing terrorism using cryptocurrency. Law enforcement connected the relevant wallet addresses to an ISIS-linked network through on-chain tracking. One of the defendants transferred more than 49k USDT to an offshore trading platform through 15 transactions.

Although the individuals were not directly involved in carrying out attacks, they were identified as the “financial logistics layer” for terrorism financing. TRM said this may be one of the first counter-terrorism financing cases in Southeast Asia to complete convictions centered on blockchain evidence.
