U.S. CFTC Chair: Federal regulatory framework has clarified that the CFTC has jurisdiction over the regulation of prediction markets

Mars Finance news: In a post on the X platform, Mike Selig, Chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, said that U.S. federal law clearly provides that the derivatives market is regulated by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission. No matter whether it’s sports, politics, or oil prices, under the federal regulatory framework, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission has clear jurisdiction to regulate prediction markets and also has an obligation to uphold the regulations.
